Exploring
What is Exploring?
Exploring is a unique career exploration program for young men and women ages 14-20. It provides students with an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of career fields and network with professionals already working in those fields.
What do Explorers do?
Explorers get hands-on experience to determine whether or not a particular career field is right for them. They develop valuable networking contacts with professionals working in their selected career fields, and they get to know other teenagers and young adults sharing their same interests and aspirations. Exploring can be the first step in identifying career possibilities while having fun in an exciting and informal environment.
Explorers are organized into Posts based around their career interests. Posts are located at businesses or community organizations and are led by trained professionals in their respective fields. Fields represented by Exploring Posts in the Atlanta Area include: Aviation, Business, Engineering, Health Care, Public Safety, Science, Technology and more.
STEM Academy
The STEM Academy is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for 9th -12th graders to live on the Georgia Tech campus and get behind the scenes access to more than 30 Atlanta-area companies.
No other summer camp combines learning and fun like the STEM Academy. Learn how different STEM concepts impact you every day, then experience these principles first-hand as you fly through roller coasters at Six Flags, build robots and race them against your peers, and explore the Georgia Aquarium.
