Summer Family Adventures for 2023 have concluded!
Thank you to all that participated in this year's Summer Family Adventures! It was wonderful to see all the pictures of our area scouts enjoying fun activities this summer. Thank you so much for sharing those memories with us! At this time we are no longer taking requests for SFA Patch or Timber Swag Bags.
Keep an eye out for what new changes are coming to Summer Family Adventures for 2024. We are excited for new events and some of your favorites to be featured in 2024.

Plan a Hike With Your Family at Any One of Several Nearby Parks.
Choose from our list of suggested locations (Map #1-#10), go to your favorite hiking spot, or explore a new one! However it is that you choose to hike, enjoy the wonderful outdoors, and don’t forget your 6 essential items to bring with you!

Plan a Trip and Take a Ride on any One of Our Recommended Bike Trails!
Take a ride on one of Metro Atlanta’s Trails that used to be former rail lines, or nowadays just follow them. View the scenery and neighborhoods on the route or loop to your destination. Remember to wear your safety gear and bring plenty of water for the summer heat of Georgia!

Disc Golf, Driving Range or Mini Golf, all is fun for the whole family!
Join First Available Disc Golf at East Roswell Park (Map #13) for instructions and a game of Disc Golf. If you already know how Disc Golf works, choose from our list of suggested locations (Map #12-#21), or discover a new Disc Golf Park!
Build and Launch Your Very Own Rocket.
SOAR will be available to guide you in safely launching your rocket! You can RSVP for the event by visiting SOARRocketry.org. Rockets will need to be purchased and assembled prior to the event. The rockets will require an A8-3 rocket engine that can be purchased at the Scout Shop, local craft stores like Michael's and Hobby Lobby, or online through Amazon.
Learn how to Fish and Use Those Skills in the Lake!
Let’s go fishing at Allatoona Aquatics Base BSA (Map #11) and enjoy a morning of Safety, Instruction, and Fishing! Bring your own gear & bait. Fishing Merit Badge Counselors and Certified Anglers will be on site to help instruct the Cubs.
