You can hike at any time or any day. Please see the Hike of the Week at the bottom of the page for details on each trail. Any one trail can count towards the Hiking Scouting on Depand patch. For each additional trail they hike the Scout will get an additional Hiking rocker patch at the end of the season. Join the Junior Ranger Program at Georgia State Parks and use your hike towards those requirements as well!

From 1-3PM Outback Bikes will be talking to families about bike safety and proper seat adjustments and then Families will have the opportunity to bike along the Freedom Park Trail, which is across from their Shop.

Don’t forget to bring your water bottle, sunscreen, and bicycles!

Sunday June 6 from 1-3PM Sunday July 11 from 1-3PM Sunday August 22 from 1-3 PM
Betweem 8AM and 12PM families will receive 20-30 minutes of demonstration and coaching from Disc Golf Experts including discussion on Disc Types and what the numbers mean, Form, Throwing and Disc Golf Basic. After the Coaching, volunteers will start families off at a hole and help you get started.

There will be demo Disc to use and vendors will be there with starter sets if Families would like to purchase for $25.00

It is recommended you download a free udisc app which will help you score your game and help map where the next holes are located.

Be sure to bring water, sunscreen and good shoes.

Beginning at 10AM on June 13 Junior Pickleball players will demonstrate how the game is played and give an introduction to pickleball course. Families will then be able to play some pickleball with some demo paddles.  If you already have a paddle, feel free to bring with you. The session will end at 1PM.

Be sure to bring water, court shoes, such as basketball shoes or tennis shoes, and sunscreen.

From 9 am – 11 am volunteers will be available to teach families and Cubs about fishing basics. Families are encouraged to continue fishing on their own after instruction.
