Cub Scout Leader Training

Cub Scout Leader Position-Specific Training gives a Cub Scout leader the knowledge and skills needed to deliver a quality program for their specific position on the Pack leader team, whether Cubmaster or Assistant, Den Leader, Co-Leader or Assistant, or Committee Chair or Member. These trainings cover the same requirements as the online "Cub Scout Leader Position Specific" courses (other than Hazardous Weather Training), but many leaders find the live version more rewarding and more fun! It gives you a chance to meet other leaders, ask questions, and share ideas and experiences. These in-person trainings will provide you with the basic tools needed to be successful in your leadership position. A recording of the May 25, 2022 Cub Leader Training conducted over Zoom is found in six parts at this YouTube PlaylistTo be considered "trained", a Den Leader/Assistant Den Leader or Cubmaster/Assistant Cubmaster must also complete Youth Protection Training and online Hazardous Weather Training through My.Scouting

Cub Scout Camping Training?  While not required to be considered a “Trained” Cub Leader, see Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) for training on how to have fun and safe Cub Scout Pack coordinated overnight camping.  Packs are required to have at least one BALOO trained adult on every Cub Scout den or pack overnight outdoor event – including Pack Camping and Webelos Den overnighters.
