Volunteer Resources for Public Relations

As you know, nothing beats telling the story of Scouting or being recognized for something good. The idea of people seeing your image or knowing what you have accomplished is a surefire way to get others to support you and your cause. But how can Scouts use this to your advantage? It’s very simple and a matter of knowing who to talk to, what to say and when to say it. The following links will help you get your unit's or district's name and image out in the media, increase exposure for your activities and raise awareness. Whether it’s for the upcoming popcorn sale or a trip to camp, the community will enjoy knowing what your Scouts are doing. In most cases, they will want to assist in your many endeavors and help bring more boys to Scouting. If you have a specific PR request of the Council, please contact Jenna Knight at jknight@atlantabsa.org.
