Cub Scout Resident Camp

Cub Scout Resident Camp is one of the best ways to experience all the fun and adventure that Cub Scout Camping has to offer. More than just a regular campout, Cub Scout Resident Camp is a four day, three night camping experience at Bert Adams Scout Reservation in June and July for Cub Scouts of all ages, plus their parents and/or leaders. Bert Adams offers two levels of programming that is designed to meet all Scouts needs for fun, excitement in the outdoors, and advancement in Scouting.

At Bert Adams, you will find a friendly atmosphere, where we take seriously the needs and success of every Den and Pack. We’ve worked hard to assemble a staff of adults and older Boy Scouts who are expert in Scout Skills, and good teachers and leaders as well. They love working with young Scouts, and are the kind of model citizens your Scouts can look to as role models.

How to reserve a spot: Just download the 2010 Cub Scout Resident Camp Reservation form or pick up a form at the Volunteer Service Center. Complete the form and send it in to the Volunteer Service Center along with the reservation fee.  ***Important note: Each session is limited to 240 youth participants so get your reservation in early to secure your spot!***

Webelos Encampment

Webelos Encampment will offer a fun filled journey that your Webelos Scouts will talk about for years to come. Our goals at Webelos encampment include providing opportunities to complete a number of the advancement requirements on the trail to the Arrow of Light award. But we’ll also make sure that your Webelos have an exciting, fun-filled time at camp, whetting their appetites for the adventure of Boy Scout summer camp in the years ahead.

What we’ll do at camp: Webelos Scouts attending the  summer Encampment will get to do a wide range of activities.  First year Webelos Scouts may choose three (3) activity pins to work on at camp, plus two (2) other activities they’d like to do “just-for-fun.” The activity pins offered at camp will include: Aquanaut, Naturalist, Geologist, Forester, Sportsman,  Readyman, Outdoorsman, Showman, Craftsman, and Artist. Scientist will be offered during the weeklong Encampment only.

Webelos Outback AdventureThe Outback Adventure program is a special program that only Webelos II scouts can participate in.  During this program, the scouts will go on a special outpost camping trip where they will learn the patrol method and how to camp as a Boy Scout.  Scouts will get the opportunity to prepare their own meals, set up their own camping site, and many more Boy Scout skills.  ***Important note:  Only 60 participants per session so get your reservation in early!***

Who can attend:   All boys currently registered as Bears (rising Webelos) or first-year (rising second-year) Webelos Scouts can attend.

Wolf / Bear Encampment

At Wolf / Bear Encampment you and your Cub Scout will enjoy a wide range of daytime and evening Wolf or Bear activities and have a great time camping together.

What we'll do at camp:  The rising Wolf and Bear Cub Scout and their parent/guardian will get to do lots of activities!  In addition to sleeping in canvas platform tents, liket the older Boy Scouts do, eating in the dining hall, and experiencing an exciting camp wide campfire.  There will be 6 activity periods each on days 2 and 3.  Cub Scouts will enjoy water fun at the pool and lake, shooting sports (archery and BB's), handicrafts, and exciting nature.

There will also be time for “on-your-own” fun in your campsite with your friends. You will go home with a list of achievements and electives that you’ll be able to sign off in your son’s new Wolf or Bear handbook.

Who can attend: All boys currently registered as a Tiger Cub (rising Wolf) or Wolf (rising Bear). Each boy must be accompanied by and adult.
