Position: District Executive

The role of the District Executive is to recruit, inspire, and train adult volunteers, in addition to working with community leaders and rallying support for Scouting's initiatives. 

The basic qualifications needed to become a Scouting professional are: 

  • Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Be a United States citizen or declare your intention to become a U.S. citizen
  • Be an adult-must have attained age 21
  • Be people-oriented, having the ability to work well with adult volunteers, community and business leaders, and representatives of other organizations
  • Able to work varied hours when necessary to achieve positive objectives
  • Believe in the BSA and subscribe to its principles and standards

If you have education, experience, or skill in human relations, public relations, marketing, fundraising, finance, accounting, business management or sales, then you should consider becoming a Scouting professional.  Email resumes to Paula Mont.

Para-professional Positions

The Atlanta Area Council is in search of positive role models for our youth as they mature from boys to men. The Council is looking for dedicated and committed individuals who want to inspire, encourage and guide the youth of America.

Part-time Paraprofessional positions (30 hours/week) are available for men and women in the Atlanta area. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Retirees, Military, Scouters and college students are encouraged to apply. Scouting experience a plus. Skills in sales, marketing, public relations, and administration are an asset. Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) are an asset. Paraprofessionals will work with youth to develop leadership and character building skills. We offer a competitive starting salary for self-motivated, service oriented individuals.
