Bert Adams Scout Reservation

 

The Bert Adams Scout Reservation was originally founded in 1928 in Vinings, Georgia.  The new Bert Adams Scout Reservation, located outside Covington, GA, was opened in 1960 and has been a favorite location for camping, activities, and training. Through the generosity of our Scouting supporters, Bert Adams now provides NEW state-of-the-art facilities that help create a unique and quality Scouting program that is only at Bert Adams! Scouts can ride their bikes to the J. Erskine Love, Jr. Dining Hall, swimming pool, Fort Brumley, John S. Langford Nature Center, BB and Archery Range, and new camping neighborhoods! 

Located near Covington, Georgia, Bert Adams Scout Reservation provides nearly 1,300-acres for long-term resident and weekend camping, training events, and lots of outdoor Scouting fun. Thousands of Scouts and Scouters come to Bert Adams each year to participate in Boy Scout, Webelos and JROTC Summer Camps, Order of the Arrow Events, Venturing and Explorer Outings, Cub Family Camping, Cub World Events, District Camporee’s, Cub Pack Picnics, Wood Badge Training, NYLT Training, and many other Scouting events. Bert Adams Scout Reservation includes Camp Gorman, Camp Emerson, Camp Jamison and the new Adventure Camp.

Adventure Camp Neighborhoods

The new neighborhoods include ten pods of campsites, a large activity field, two shower houses and a pavillion. These neighborhoods also have platform tents with electricity!

 

 

 

J. Erskine Love, Jr. Dining Hall

The J. Erskine Love, Jr. Dining Hall is a multilevel fully air-conditioned facility. The dining hall has two dining areas, Bert Adams Trading Post, meeting space and staff housing.

 

 

 

 

Pool

The large swimming pool supports a variety of Scout aquatic activities. The pool also provides additional restroom and shower facilities and a covered pavillion.

 

 

 

John S. Langford Nature Center

The Langford Nature Center gives Scouts hands on learning and opportunity to learn about nature and earn advancements.

 

 

 

Fort Brumley

Fort Brumley is an all weather facility that is equipped with a craft instruction room, a stage and restroom facilities.

 

 

 

BB and Archery Range

Shooting sports programs are popular activities for Scouts of all ages. The new BB and Archery Range is a place that will help Scouts enjoy a positive and safe shooting sports experience.
