OK Woodruff Fans, never thought I would be saying this: we have some openings for troops in Weeks 4, 5 & 6 for this summer. Looks like some folks waited awful late to drop their reservations!

Located near the city of Blairsville in North Georgia, Robert W. Woodruff Scout Reservation is a 1,545-acre mountain property adjacent to Lake Notley and the Chattahoochee National Forest. The beautiful North Georgia Mountains surround the camp. Woodruff offers a spectacular 86-acre mountain lake, a climbing/rappelling tower, nature/conservation center, trading post, a COPE Course, astronomy, shooting sports, heavily wooded campsites, and great hiking trails. Scouts have the opportunity to enjoy our great aquatics area or visit the nearby Nantahala or Ocoee Rivers for whitewater rafting, canoeing, or kayaking. The Appalachian Trail and Cohutta Wilderness are close at hand and offer the opportunity for extended backpacking trips.

Woodruff hosted nearly 7,700 Scouts and Leaders during 8 weeks of Boy Scout Resident Camp in 2012. Our 185+ staff members provide an excellent program and the type of support that is unequaled by any other camp.

Demand for Woodruff is high and camp will be full by late November. Reserve today and come see why we call Woodruff "Scoutings' Southern Paradise"
